Fruit production is an important aspect of farming for Bethel Farm. Fruit crops such as apples, pears, peaches, plums, berries, and grapes are grown in the farm. These crops are grown for their nutritional value, taste, and market value.

Our Fruit Produced: Bananas, Raspberry, Strawberry, watermelon, Passion fruit (Giant granadilla), Pawpaw, Kiwi fruit, Pomegranate, Grapes, Plums, Apple, Avocado and Persimmon (Kaki fruit).

Bananas: The banana plant produces bunches of bananas that are harvested when they are mature but still green. They are then transported to ripen and packaged for distribution.

Raspberry: Raspberry bushes produce fruit in the summer. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and packaged for distribution.

Strawberry: Strawberry plants produce fruit in the spring and summer. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and packaged for distribution. 

Watermelon: Watermelon plants produce fruit in the summer. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and transported to be sorted, packaged and distributed.

Passion fruit (Giant granadilla): Passion fruit vines produce fruit in the summer. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and packaged for distribution.

Pawpaw: Pawpaw trees produce fruit in late summer and early fall. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and packaged for distribution.


Persimmon (Kaki fruit): Persimmon trees produce fruit in the fall. The ripe fruit is harvested by hand and packaged for distribution.

Bethel farm is a mixed farm located in Ezoova cell in Arua District. They grow a variety of crops including pulses, herbs, fruits, tubers and vegetables. The vegetables are classified into five categories which are fruit, stem, leafy, flower and root vegetables.
